Yesterday the 25th Feb 06 - the SHPF - The Scottish Hang-gliding and Paragliding Federation arranged a reserve deployment and repack event at Ratho Adventure Centre - near Edinburgh.

I took a few photos - mainly Alastair helping to pack my reserve and a few videos. My first deployment - where I was mega nervous.

(Its strange that with ropes and people supervising and a having seen lots of people go before I was much much more nervous doing this than if I were actually flying) - resulted in a failure - this was using my old harness and basically It apears that my speed bar restrained operation.

After repacking properly and with Alastairs help, my second deployment went well - this was using my new harness - The Woody Valley Peak - and you can if you wish see the video here. (12Mb)
