I flew from Edinburgh to Amsterdam and then onto Hong Kong on the 27th / 28th January. KLM is great - Then got the train a few hours later to get to Guangzhou - just in time for Festival banquet at Pings house with her family. Fireworks at midnight. A couple of days later we (Ping and I ) flew to Xiamen where we had a few days before returning to Guangzhou. I flew home on the 12th Feb with Air France via Paris - less comfortable than KLM. For one night I visited Shenzhen on the border between Hong Kong and China proper. It is in Shenzhen that the Eiffel tower and Pyramids were visited at the same time.
