Bob Veitch and family visit to Alnwick, England as part of Dads 80th Birthday present. part 2
After returning on Monday night to Edinburgh, Tuesday I spent doing some website stuff for the SHPF. Then in the evening Chinese class - as usual I was rubbish at this compared with the girls.
Wednesday I went flying at Hillend - but was unfit / lazy so only had one top to bottom - and then I took pictures and videos of Cliff, Zeno and ?, flying down later. I shall add these soon to this site.
Wednesday evening - after driving home and having eaten very little throughout the day - I cycled up to The Bow Bar in Victoria Street and Met Richard, Martin and Tony for a couple of beers. On return I succumbed to Chicken and Chips though!.
Thursday - I drove down to England - and eventually found East Hill by the National Park and had a very brief, top to bottom where I flew about a km from Takoff round and down and away from the car. Very warm on returning to the car.
Friday - went to Craster with Mum, Dad, Susan and Archie, saw a cormorant eating a fish, had a nice walk, purchased some locally smoked fish and then returned to Alnwick where I cooked dinner. Allan arrived - along with more Birthday cake(s) that he had made for Dad. Lovely evening and then we played "Upwords" - the 3d "scrabble" like word game.
